Coarse Grade Himalayan Bath Salt — Why This Grade

We carry three grades of Himalayan bath salt. Here's where coarse grade fits:

• Fine grade — small crystals, dissolves rapidly, full mineral dispersion immediately. Best for standard 20-minute baths.
• Coarse grade — larger crystals, dissolves more slowly, sustained mineral release throughout extended soaks. Best for 30-45 minute baths and meditation soaks.
• Salt chunks — dissolves very slowly, reusable multiple times, best for foot soaks and economical repeated use.

The practical difference between fine and coarse comes down to how quickly the minerals enter the water and how long they remain concentrated. For a quick 20-minute soak, fine grade gets full mineral saturation faster. For longer soaks where you want the mineral concentration to build and sustain, coarse grade performs better.

How to Use Coarse Grade Himalayan Bath Salt

For a full bath: Add 1-2 cups of coarse grade Himalayan bath salt to warm running water. The larger crystals take longer to dissolve than fine grade — add them as the tub fills to give them maximum dissolving time. Soak for 30-45 minutes for best results. The mineral concentration continues building as crystals dissolve throughout your soak.

For a foot soak: Add 1/2 cup to a basin of warm water. The coarse crystals create a visually striking soak and maintain mineral concentration for extended foot treatments.

Note: Undissolved crystals on the tub floor are normal with coarse grade — they continue releasing minerals as you soak and can be rinsed away afterward.
